Tarakan is a child accident prone to daydreaming and looking at the sky. After he makes one too many mistakes, his parents send him to an orphanage. Fortunately for him, Zardozu (his best friend) is also living there. This movie is released in 2009 and it tells the story on how they became friends, their feelings on each other and on childhood in general. Tamil cinema has come along way since its inception but unfortunately not all these movies have been as successful as Taarzan The Wonder Car which was released four years ago now. This movie has been dubbed into almost all major languages including English as well as Hindi and Telugu making it a global blockbuster despite being somewhat obscure internationally. The movie is about the unlikely friendship of two boys living in an orphanage. The movie runs deeper than it seems to begin with, which makes it more relatable. It is not just about friendship, but also the struggle of life itself, how people are selfish not just due to their nature but because of their own perceptions of life. The two protagonists are very different from each other, Zardozu being almost perfect academically and Taarzan being a daydreamer. While Zardozu struggles to cope with his emotions on losing his parents on the day his exams start, Taarzar struggles along trying to fill his own shoes as well as Zardozu's. The movie is an absolute delight to watch with both lead actors doing an amazing job with their roles.
